I-Team Report! What Happened to The Jolar Cinema in San Diego? - Reported by Nightowl

Doc here, a man who some say just finished giving his keynote speech at "Mustache World 2014" in downtown Chicago, with an important bit of news, and a request for help getting to the bottom of this situation.

Regular readers of know that I rarely deploy The Journal's I-Team.  It is reserved for deep investigative work and crowd sourcing from you, the good readers of The Journal. However, a situation came across the teletype machine here at my office, in The Valley near the small women's liberal arts college.

Here is first time reporter Nightowl, and his field report from San Diego.

Doc,

This in the SD Craigslist postings, thought I would pass it on to you and the readers of the world renowned Journal.

Long time player in the scene, but have taken a break from active participation as I am involved in my third start-up (think I would learn, eh?) and just have no time....but when I do have time, I turn to the Journal for recreational reading on 'this thing of ours'.

Text of Jolar Cinema update is below:

---

"What happened to Jolar? Went out for some fun during the week and it was completely empty. We were hoping to meet a nice guy or couple but nothing and were told things have gone downhill for playtime there..any advice on where a couple can visit for some fun?

Thank You for your replies and now we know what happened there, we also quit going there for the same reason well over a year ago...drug users.. sad that they let it slide downhill to make the drug users feel at home."

Doc here again... Thank you Nightowl for the head's up on this situation. This is bad news, but not unexpected news about The Jolar. The increasingly sketchy crowd took away from the positive couple's vibe often found at The Jolar.  As a metter of fact, The Jolar was my favorite San Diego adult theater for a few years, and I had many memorable evenings there (and in the parking lot).

OK, I-Team, this is where I need your help.  I need people in and arounf San Diego's adult theater scene to chime in and update your old friend in the white suit and aviators on what exactly happened.  Please e-mail at emiliolizardo1@gmail.com , with "Jolar" in the subject line.

I will update the database with a "Closed until further notification flag" until we can get to the bottom of this.

Good-bye Jolar Cinema (we think)... We hardly knew ye.

Thanks,
Doc
