Flash Report! MHM Reports on Bush River Video in Abingdon, Maryland on 7/14/17

Doc here, a man who some say used to work in a warehouse at 250 52nd Street (across town from Avenue X at Cicero) , but always felt that the place was a powder keg about ready to blow.

As the proprietor of this dog and pony show of a blog, it's my duty to give you all sides of the current adult theater scene. Good, bad, or indifferent. And kids, this report fits into the 2nd category listed previously.

The next positive review I get for Bush River Books and Video will be my first. I have published a few previously, and all were either neutral or awful.  The other place I never knew existed. Both are now updated on the Adult Theater db.

First time reporter MHM has filed this report to The Journal, so please welcome to him The Journal!

Take it away, sir.

I was lost in the Rocky Mountains for far too long and somehow found my way to the east coast. I decided to visit the Capital and found that DC did not have any adult establishments that lended themselves to this thing of ours. I did a quick search in the Dr.’s database and saw there was one in the entire state of Maryland. While I am sure I would have enjoyed myself much more had I made the trek to BNA, I decided to stay sort of local and check out Bush River Books & Video in Abingdon, MD.

While I was on the dark lonely road to Bush Video I saw another establishment with a large Adult Video sign in front. I passed it by and headed to my original target. In retrospect I should have avoided both. When I walked into Bush Video I was underwhelmed. The man behind the counter was halfhearted explaining the costs, I paid, got marked by a green Crayola marker on the back of the hand and was allowed to enter the theater.

I generally try to see the positive in places, but the only positive from this visit is the possibility of what it could be. The theater was split into 4 rooms, each with a random assortment of old living room chairs and love seats. The guys were making good use of them, but no lady in sight. The screens were small tvs on the walls behind dirty plexi-glass. I would say it was money wasted, but if it help keep others from making my mistake then it is money well spent (ed. note: Could not agree more, sir!). I am not sure what came over me, but I checked out the arcade; more of the same guys lurking, and shuffling around.

I left shortly after and decided since the night was still young I would check out the other place called Pulaski Video, 3011 Pulaski Hwy, Edgewood, MD.

It was a much newer establishment, and looking online showed the building as a car rental place. It must be pretty new. I was hopeful, but dashed upon entering the theater. It was a small cost to enter, the door was automatic after adding bills to the feeder, not that promising. When I got into the theater there were a few guys, the typical lurkers, and a lot of plastic lawn chairs. These weren’t even the kind with cushions.

I gave the place a while to see how the night evolved but after the second man dressed like a lady, I decided maybe this wasn’t going to be my night after all. I still had a mark on my hand from the first place, but there wasn’t any point.

I am not the Dr., nor do I believe I should be telling the Good Dr. what to do with his database, however I would put a warning on this store. This place was not couple friendly, it was poorly kept, dirty and had a yuck feel to it.

Doc here again... Many thanks to MHM for this update on Bush River, and the first intel on Pulaski Video.  He took one for the team folks, and for that we thank him!

Looking forward to your next report, sir!
