Field Report: Notes Tom Austin - Traveling Man - A Trio of Adult Theaters

Doc here with a quick update from senior Field Reporter Tom Austin on three adult theaters he visited recently.

Here is Tom...

Doc, I just wanted to give you a quick update even though I've not had a theater experience worthy of sharing with your readers recently. As a friend once told me, regarding this thing of ours, not every night will be a diamond - there will be plenty of cubic zirconia thrown in as well.

My recent stops included a couple of nights exploring the small adult theater scene in Raleigh, NC, the Nu Arts Theater in Monterey, CA, and the Funville Theater in Vallejo, CA. All of these visits took place during the past month, and none of them, unfortunately, resulted into any contact with couples. In fact, I was told by theater managers in Raleigh and Monterey that couples visiting these places were as rare as unicorns - people claim to have seen them, but no one can actually verify that they exist. And the small Funville theater was already closed at 8:30pm when I recently stopped by while on a road trip to Sacramento. All in all, interesting places to visit, but I will not likely go back, except perhaps to the Nu Arts, where a couple here in Silicon Valley have expressed an interest in meeting me there.

Next week I return to San Diego for two nights, and am hopeful of more productive visits and stories to share. I'll let you know.

Tom

Doc here again... Thanks to Tom on his nice update.  Not every report featured here at The Journal depicts a "Letter to Penthouse" type of mind-blowing event.  Some reports will discuss the lack of activity, or recommend you NOT go to a certain adult theater.  The Journal is a lot of things, but one thing it is not is "sugar and spice and everything nice".  Time has not been kind to this thing of ours. We take what we can can, wherever it may pop up. And the more information we have in our back pocket, the better we all are in the process.

Do you have an adult theater report you'd like to see on the front page of The Journal.  Just e-mail Joe Friday The Good Doctor at emiliolizardo1@gmail.com. I will edit and format your report for you....You just supply the cold hard facts.

Thanks,
Doc
