Field Report! Status Quo at The Westwood Theater in Toledo by Mr. Glass

Doc here, a man who some say went back to Ohio, but his adult theater was gone...

The ongoing saga known as The Westwood Theater in Toledo has been a source of sorrow and agita for The Good Doctor for a few years now. And one day I will write extensively on this subject, but now is not the time. But boy, what a story...

Instead, what I can do for you, the good readers of The Journal, is to provide updates from trusted sources like senior Journal reporter Mr. Glass. I know Mr. Glass personally, and his words are true and to the point.

Here is the latest on the status of The Westwood Theater in Toledo.  Take it away, Mr. Glass!

Hi Doc,

As you may recall I sent you a news article shortly after the WW closed. It has some kind of church/religious group stating how they will by the WW and “clean it up” and to basically keep it from becoming another adult theater.
The Westwood Theater, 2014
This past weekend I needed to go across town and decided to take the surface streets to drive by the old place. Well, the old words rings do true, money talks and bullshit walks. This group must not of had the funds. Nothing has happened. All the old signs are still up, obvious it was an adult theater and…. The for sale sign is still sitting out front.

So, in short, it my be for sale, but that is better than what others had planned for it not long ago. Who knows what the future may hold.

Doc here again... Many thanks to Mr. Glass for his consistent updates on The WW and it's status.  Well done as always, sir!

As you can see from the above image, The Westwood's renovation was gorgeous. It was a shining example of what an adult theater could be.  And for a while, it was. Sadly, it wasn't to last it that incarnation.

The Good Doctor's fingers are crossed that some day The Westwood might rise (again) from the ashes. And if it ever did, and the owners needed the help I have given to similar ventures in Chicago, Hartford, and Portland, I'm all ears.

Thanks,
Doc
