News Bulletin! LE Raid at The Adult Supercenter in Palatka, FL

Just a quick follow-up.  Putnam County FL Sheriff's Office again made arrests at the Adult Super Center theatre in Palatka, Florida in early August following their initial raid the previous week.  Arrested and booked one guy for lewd conduct in the theatre and also charged the store owner with operating a business promoting lewd behavior. 

From what I understand, store clerk is now required to go back periodically and check on activity in the arcade and theatre and kick out anyone that is engaged in lewd conduct.  Sounds like they have been given the "two strikes" warning and if they don't clamp down they will seek to close down these facilities or the entire store.  As I mentioned before, never seemed to be a real mega-draw for couples but hate that the option is in danger - at least through election time.

Had a productive visit to Pure Pleasures in Orange Heights this past weekend with 3 couples coming in at different times and all 3 playing to some level.  Will get a report written up and send to you.

I just made a trip to Olivia's in Tea, South Dakota and wanted to let you know what I found.

First hello, and thanks for your Blogspot. It has been helpful over the years. When I arrived I went in thru the front doors to find a nice book and novelty shop.  It was then that I found out I had to go out and walk around back to get to both the theater and arcade. $5 bucks got me a reusable gold pass that can be reloaded on return trips for only 10 bucks.

I stopped by CVE yesterday evening for a few hours. As I think you have heard, they have completely redone the place. The booths are gone. In their place are two new theaters. They are smaller than the main theater, but just as clean. One was showing a gay movie, the other straight. The old theater is still there and is still showing hardcore.

A few minutes after I arrived a couple showed up, but it was pretty apparent that they were not going to play. They struck me as first timers. She was dressed in jeans and mostly just giggled as they stood in the back and watched the movie for a few minutes. Then they were gone. Perhaps they had come in to shop and decided to take a quick peek. Once they satisfied their curiosity they moved on.

Large signs were posted in several locations warning of the possibility of law enforcement showing up. That may explain the lack of clientele.

Overall, the vibe of the place is different. The staff now seems guarded and suspicious, which is a far cry from what they used to be. Also, they changed the old smoking room into a video "sweepstakes" room, moving the smoking area into the lounge. You have to pass through this area to get back and forth to the theaters. As a non-smoker, I wish they could find another place for it. I think non-smoking husbands of suspicious wives would prefer that they would change that, too.
I'll have to try to get by on a weekend to see what it feels like then.

I just recently stumbled across your website. What a great service you provide!

I get to travel quite a bit for work, and have hit quite a few theaters over the years: Fantasyland and Playhouse in Tampa (great times there back in its heyday), Twin Cinemas in Atlanta, Adult Superstore and Dejavu in Vegas, Executive Adult Video in Houston, and several others.

I was in Ohio recently and checked out Summit News in Warren. It's been well reviewed by other reporters, so I won't recap what's already been said, but I did learn a couple things that I didn't see mentioned before.

I had the unfortunate luck of dropping by on a Tuesday night, which I learned is "gay night". That was a major disappointment. Wednesday is couples day. Unfortunately my second report on the Jolar Bookstore and Theater is not as promising as the first.   It is a perfect illustration that even at the better establishments, long hours of boredom and sausage fests should not be considered shocking.

Doc here again... The lesson to be learned from a trip to The Jolar on Couples Night?  It's typically the worst of the nights to visit this theater.  I have run into the same thing at The Jolar, thus I would my focus my visits to Monday or Tuesday nights.  My results were MUCH better.

I wanted to let you know I have been reading your posts and have been to many of the theatres that are in your directory. My wife and I went to one in Amarillo (that you do not have listed), and it is on the outskirts of town.  I do not know the address but the name of it is called the "XXX Barn". Its a little seedy, but awesome, if you like your theatre's dark and a little spooky.  It has many private rooms that my wife and I have played around in and one theatre showing straight movies.

There is one big private room where you can actually remove part of the wall (facing the theatre and the movie playing in it), revealing a huge glass window where everyone in the theatre can "enjoy the show you and your lady want to put on" and we did put on quite the show. My wife and I love an audience, and the more that watch the better she gets.

In any case,  I thought you would want to know so you can put it on the list. By the way everytime we have gone there. There are always couples there. The other one that is on your list in Amarillo is cool too, with balconies on all sides of the theatre, and very friendly to couples that play or put on a show.
