Guys are always going to 15th Ave.Adult Theater in Chicago hoping to see a couple or single female put on a show. Well, today the tables were turned and the guys put on a show for the girl.

I was in Chicago for another Tuesday visit to the theater with my sidekick RG.  After a few solo adventures, I was really starting to miss him and I had a few stories to share. I picked him up at our usual spot, then decided to hit a Chinese buffet for lunch and to catch up. I filled my plate with Lo Mein and filled RG in on my weekend, telling him (and the man sitting at the table across from us) about all the naughty stuff I saw (and did) during my visit to Camp NCN in WI.

Bellies full, our next stop was 15th Ave. We've said before that Tuesday is the best day and we were out to prove it again. There were several guys sitting and waiting in their cars when we arrived, a sure sign that nothing was going on inside, so we parked and waited too. We watched the guys walk back and forth from their cars to the store, including a guy we hadn't seen before wearing white athletic socks and no shoes. That was a new one.

RG checked his email and saw a couple alert from the Yahoo group. Incredulous that we could have missed the arrival of another couple, we went inside to investigate. We did our usual loop through spa, booths, and theater, but didn't see any sign of a couple in the house. Not wanting to attract more attention than necessary, we settled into our spot in the abandoned corner booth between the vending machines. It's out of the way, but offers a good view of everyone coming and going from the spa and booths.

We sat together on the scratchy upholstered chair and tried to figure out where we had gone wrong. We wondered if the couple had slipped in from the front. Had the staff seen us lurking and counted us as a couple before we came in?

I just finished reading K&K's report from their latest trip to the 15th Ave Theater, and it "raised" a couple of things for me. Besides the obvious, it brought up a memory of some behavior that I witnessed just last night at Secrets in Des Moines, Washington. I am continuing my tour of the great Northwest and after a stellar weekend in this thing of our last week, I have been lucky enough to spend a little time exploring Secrets. I am happy to report that I enjoyed two good nights there.

Before I get to the details, let me give some kudos to the staff at Secrets. When I make these trips, I almost feel like a secret shopper. I know that I am probably going to be reporting on what I see there - whether it is good or bad. I don't tell anyone that, of course. I just keep my eyes open. Here's what I saw at Secrets.

While Secrets isn't big, and it lacks the ambiance of a theater like the Art Cinema in Hartford, it is impeccably clean, well run, properly supervised, and provides a safe, comfortable atmosphere for their patrons, with a special sensitivity to couples. And that's why couples show up. I won't go into all the details (cuz nobody comes to your site for that), suffice it to say that the guys behind the counter keep their eyes open, too.

Surrounding the small retail area are three viewing areas. Up front, there is a room with a stripper pole and benches lining the walls. The videos in that room, during my visits at least, featured tranny action. Across from that room is a small gloryhole area with two booths. I saw women working the hole both nights of my visit. On Friday it was cute wife entertaining her hubby by serving the troops. On Saturday, a curvy redhead was taking on all cummers as her man stood outside.

Welcome back to "8 Questions from The Good Doctor". In this ongoing series, The Good Doctor asks a series of provocative questions to some of the legendary ladies I know in the adult theater scene.

In today's chapter, we talk with the amazing Amber Foxxx.  This amateur porn star has been tearing this thing of ours for many years, and after several years away from the scene, she's back and naughtier than ever!  Trust me on this...I'm a Doctor.

The Good Doctor: When was your first trip to an adult theater/ABS?

Amber Foxxx: Those are two different places so I’ll give an answer for each! I had been dating my now-husband for about a month or two (so like in 1995). It was a small shop, so it wasn’t really memorable, but what I do remember was the trip there and home! It was about an hour from home and he asked me to go without panties so he could play with me in the far. I got fingered all the way up to the shop and gave some road head. We found a parking lot, and this shop was a lingerie boutique and bookstore, and it was on the main street of the small city it was in. We had to walk about a block and as we crossed the street a wind came up and blew my skirt up over my waist! I moved to bring it down but he grabbed my hands so I couldn’t and the skirt stayed up! The cars at the crosswalk honked and waved as I felt my face get flushed. It was at that moment that I knew our lives weren’t going to be normal! As a bonus to that story, I had my boobs out all the way home showing them off to truck drivers!

Doc: Which adult theater did you attend, and who were you with (if anyone at all)?

AF: The adult theater I first visited was the Cinema III in Des Moines, Iowa in about 1998. We had been swinging for maybe 6 months to a year at this point and I’m pretty sure the very first time we went we met the famously sexy Simone and Mr. S! They played porn in a big theater and every 2 hours a live dancer would come out and do a live toy show then make the rounds for cheap lap dances.

Doc: On a scale of 1-10 how anxious/scared/nervous were you on your first adult theater trip?

AF: I would say I was more excited than nervous – I don’t remember being nervous at all! I’ve always kind of had the attitude that I’ll try anything once and if I don’t like it I won’t do it again. So maybe like a 2?

Doc: What did you do sexually on that first visit?

Crazy 8! The Journal's 8 Year Anniversary! Celebrating Another Year Covering This Thing of Ours!

Doc here, a man who some say can't believe it was 8 years ago today that The Good Doctor launched The Journal of Adult Theaters on August 22, 2009 with a short post introducing myself to you, the good readers of The Journal:

And yes, we did get started alright!  All 2,866 times since that Sunday afternoon when post #1 hit the interwebs!

The Good Doctor wants to thank each and every one of you for your support, love, & kindness since I started this blog.  I hope the information has been helpful to you, and worse case scenario, provided some titillation.

The Back to School Party at 15th Ave. Adult Theater in Chicago this past Saturday night was one for the ages.  Picture this, dear readers...

Flash Report! Ray Takes Max & Sarah's Wondrous Road to The Oregon Theater in Portland on 8/18 and 8/19/17

Doc here, a man who some say had a famous high-wire act at the Chez Bippy, a small but lovely showroom near the Tappan Zee. 

Across the country this weekend, adult theaters had one of those magical weekends. Berlin News Agency, 15th Ave. Adult Theater, The Art Cinema, Secrets, and The Oregon Theater were rocking. 

Big time.

I love it when veteran adult theater reporters like senior Journal scribe Ray are on site to take in (and take) on a great adult theater scene. And that is exactly what happened at The Oregon Theater in Portland, OR on 8/18 & 8/19/17.  Ray (as well as the poet laureate of this thing of ours, Brent in Portland) were on hand to soak in the goodness that is Max & Sarah's visit. 

Readers of The Journal are well aware that Max & Sarah are making a big name for themselves in the adult theater scene, from theater to theater. And this past Friday and Saturday, Portland's couples, gentlemen, and ladies got to see it for themselves.

Dear Doc,

As I sit down on this sunny Sunday morning to write this, the Oregon Theater of Portland is ranked “3b” on Doc’s Adult Theater Power Rankings. There is a reason for that. I may have seen better nights in porn theaters than the one I experienced at the Oregon last night, but if I have, they were a long, long time ago. This is my first trip to Portland and my first chance to experience the Oregon. On top of that, my trip happily coincided with a visit from Max and Sarah. Having read their previous reports, I was eager for a chance to see them with my own eyes. They (she) did not disappoint! More on them in a bit. First, let’s get a wider view of the weekend.

I hit the Oregon on Friday night assuming that things might be a bit slow, since Max and Sarah’s announcement might have influenced those who only had one night to give to debauchery to roll in on Saturday. While things may have been a bit more quiet on Friday, they were certainly memorable. 

Lizardo Eclipse Day - A Few Helpful Tips to Get Through the Day + New Reports at The Journal!

Doc here, a man who some say noted astronomer Carl Sagan referred to as being "...composed of billions & billions of molecules of douche bag", with quick notes on today's solar event, plus new reports going online today at The Journal.

From Oregon to South Carolina, million of good people with destroy their work day efficiency by donning a pair of $38 eclipse glasses, or as in my case, standing inside a refrigerator box with a pinhole cut in it, in my back yard in The Valley (near the small women's liberal arts college), sipping a Bloody Mary, listening to Pink Floyd.
