•   The Spotlight Adult Theater through Wednesday is The Bexley I and II, located in the Columbus, OH suburb of Bexley.  The date of the photo above is 1983, which coincides with the exact time I visited this adult theater when I was in med school.    This theater was the most beautiful adult theater I had ever been in (and nothing has unseated this ranking since then).  Two large theaters, each seating at least 300.  This was like going to a General Cinema, only to watch Vanessa Del Rio get DP'd instead of some G-rated fare. During my several trips there, there was plenty of couples play in the theater, even during the day.  Another regular feature of The Bexley I and II were personal appearances by porn stars... Now keep in mind, Hustler Magazine was published in Columbus in it's early days, this Columbus had a healthy adult lifestyle scene.  I missed an appearance by Annette Haven by 2 hours once.  This theater was demolished in 1997.

Flash Report! New Year's Eve @ Horse Cave, KY by TN

Doc here with 2011's first Flash Report!  Tennessee field reporter TN checks in with a report from a place that has always fascinated me, Horse Cave, KY.  The number of theater and gloryhole photos bouncing around the intertubes from Horse Cave is staggering.  But this is the first real report that has come across The Good Doctor's desk. And it's a New Year's Eve report to boot.

So, without further delay, here is TN and his Horse Cave report:

   I arrived about 9:30 PM, and shortly thereafter we had two couples come in. One was Mrs Prim dressed as if she was going to Sunday School. Her hubby seemed to know the layout but she didn't. They kept the "dance" going for a while moving from booth to booth and from theater to booth area.

After about an hour she settled down in the theater and called for the sole black guy there to eat her pussy which he did for about 30 minutes. After that they then "danced" again then left shortly after midnight.

Happy New Year From The Good Doctor!

It's time to ring out 2010 and ring in 2011.  The past year saw the re-launch of The Journal of Adult Theaters in March.  After going dark for the better part of 4 months, The Good Doctor thought he'd be starting from scratch.

I was wrong.

The first day back saw the highest traffic I had ever seen (up to that point).  You welcomed The Good Doctor back, and it's been off to the races ever since.  To give you an idea of how much traffic The Journal gets nowadays, I have added a map on the right hand side of the blog. Every red dot is a unique visitor, and you will notice that the appeal of this thing of ours'  and The Journal is world wide.

For that I thank you, the good readers of The Journal.

2010 also saw the launch of The Good Doctor on Twitter.  The purpose of the Twitter feed is to get late breaking adult theater news and commentary out to you quickly and accurately.  We even did a live Tweeting event from CTs in Gary, IN with the lovely and very naughty Tina during her gang bang this summer ("Tina Runs On Dunkin"). 

A new series of reports from couples involved in this thing of ours' also began this year.
