Doc,

Haven't forgotten about my Blast from the Past story about the old Luv Theatre in downtown Orlando - my first adult theatre experience.

Wanted to give you an update on the Twin Cinemas at Buford Highway in Doraville GA (NE suburb of Atlanta). Am up in Atlanta this week on business and had a chance to stop by and check it out since it reopened a couple of weeks ago. Admission price providing access to both theatres is $14 for singles, $8 for seniors and admission to Theatre #1 for couples is FREE. For some reason, they have a policy that if a couple wants to go into Theatre #2, they have to pay $13 each. Theatre #1 has a dedicated couples section which is the first six rows from the front extending half-way across the center section of seating. Couples are not required to sit there, but single guys are not allowed there. They are showing hard core porn in both theatres using a video projection system set up on a stand. Opens daily at 9:00 a.m. (may be later on Sunday) and closes at midnight Sun - Thursday and at 3:00 on Friday and Saturday. Appears that each theatre plays 2-3 different movies before repeating. New films are loaded on Fridays.

Theatre layout is basically the same as I remember it. Seems to have been cleaned up; but no real renovation. They have removed some of the doors leading into the theatre, so a bit less warning when people come in. Posted policy says that you may leave and re-enter the theatre as many as 3 times in a day, but you must show your ticket stub and you are subject to being asked when you first entered (to make sure you were the original purchaser). Policy also states that the manager has the right to deny re-entry access at any time at their discretion.

Signs are posted at entrance to individual theatres about facilities being subject to surveillance by the DeKalb County Vice Squad and no sexual or unlawful conduct permitted.

My visit on a Wednesday night about 9:00 and the place was pretty empty. No couples (didn't expect any) and only about 5-6 guys that kept moving between the theatres.

Good to see the Buford back in action. Sure it will take a little time for the word to get out and they develop their following again.
