Flash Report! Raygun Conquers Long Island NY with Visits to Showworld, Fantasy, and World II Adult Entertainment Centers in February 2023!

Speaking of New York, senior Journal of Adult Theaters scribe Raygun is back, and has submitted a GREAT 3-chapter report on a trio of Long Island adult venues: Showworld, Fantasy, and World II.

With thoughts of Lou Reed singing "Candy came from out on the island, in the backroom she was everybody's darling," I ventured out to West Babylon, Long Island, to visit Showworld, Fantasy, and World II. (Every adventure needs a soundtrack.) How West Babylon became a haven for adult businesses I have no idea, but this trio are within blocks of each other. The area is mostly one-story light industrial buildings, like the setting of my hometown haunt, 15th Avenue Adult Emporium in Chicago.

First up was Showworld Adult Entertainment at 96 Field St. Admission is $18 for a day pass, but for $20 your pass is good all day at both Showworld and Fantasy. It's definitely worth the extra two dollars.

When you walk in, it feels more like a strip club than an adult theater, and that's because basically it is. I should say it's like the back end of a strip club. There's no bar or stage, just the girls and VIP rooms. When I was there, there were maybe five girls, including one trans-girl. When not working, they lounge around on plush couches happy to talk to anyone showing an interest. I didn't find out how much they charge, and what they do I'll leave to the imagination. 

But I was there for the amateurs, not the working girls. There are two theaters, but they're really more like lounges with multiple TVs on the walls and curtained gloryhole booths along one side. The place has kind of a club feel but without the alcohol. Both theaters are divided into two rooms with plush couches and beds arranged with varying degrees of privacy. The larger theater has low walls along two sides which give a little privacy if that's what you're looking for. 

I was there on a Wednesday, so it may not have been the best night, but it was hardly empty. There were two t-gurls and a number of guys. One gurl was constantly on the prowl and I watched her give a couple blowjobs. The other gurl, the pretty one, I couldn't figure out and I think she may have been charging. 

After a while a couple came in. They walked through the place then picked a corner to stand in. She was wearing a plastic glow necklace, but didn't need it to be noticed. After a minute or two she pulled out her big tits and stood there basically topless. A couple guys approached but the husband berated them for not giving them five minutes before starting to follow them around. 

Soon they moved behind one of the low walls and she invited a guy to play with her tits. After a few-minute warm-up they moved to one of the couches out in the open where she started giving blowjobs and invited guys to come on her tits. A young guy with a big dick asked if he could go down on her and was given permission. 

Once the show was over I decided it was time to check out Fantasy Adult Entertainment nearby at 54 Nancy St. The arrangement and feel of the place was very similar to Showworld except that the theaters were a little less lounge-like and more space was devoted to the dancers with the addition of "peep show" booths. It seemed like a nice place, but since it was more or less empty I decided to go back to Showworld. Since they're only a few minutes apart it's easy to go back and forth.

Both locations are amazingly clean for adult businesses. Staff were friendly and security was good. I'm sure they're mostly concerned about the the girls who work there, but it helps make them more appealing to t-gurls and couples too. 

Finally, I visited World II Adult Entertainment located between Showworld and Fantasy at 92 Kean St., but I didn't actually pay to go in.

I had seen a post announcing a "big tit MILF gangbang" in one of the private rooms ($80 for single guys) and the half dozen or so cars in the parking must have been there for that. As far as I could tell the rest of the place was empty, just bored dancers walking around. It was a weird vibe and I didn't feel like paying $20 for nothing, so I said maybe I'd come back later but didn't. It apeared to be arranged much like Showworld and Fantasy with a couple theaters, booths, dancers, and VIP rooms. They apparently have private party rooms too (for when you want to arrange a big-tit MILF gangbang for example). It may be worth another try the next time I find myself on Long Island, but Showworld is more likely to be my first stop. That place seemed like a winner.

International Flash Reports! Power Law Checks Out Cinema L' Amour in Montreal, Fantasy Factory in Vancouver, & Erotik-Supermarkt in Frankfort, Germany in January 2023!

Doc here, a man who some say was once a regular contributor to the trade magazine, "Trampolines Weekly", bringing you the latest news in the jumping industry. 

One could make the argument that one of my favorite genres of adult theater reporting is from the international field of play. Long-time listener; first-time caller here. I have enjoyed reading about theatres scattered across the country, living vicariously through the reports and gathering intel for my own visits. Thanks to your hard work on our behalf, I’ve had the distinct pleasure of visits to the Paris and Oregon theatres in Portland (god rest their souls), the mighty Art Cinema in Hartford, and 15th Ave Theatre in Chicago, in addition to other visits to minor stars in the adult theatre constellation.

I travel a fair bit for business, so I thought it’s my turn to contribute to the collective good with a few reports from across the border in Canada and Germany. The following visits all happened during a spurt of travel over the last month or so. This report also represents an appeal for your fans to put more effort into reporting on theatre visits abroad. Here goes:

Cinéma L’Amour is located on a busy downtown street with lots of options for pre- and post-fun eating and drinking. Your readers might also be interested in the nearby Café Cléopatra, a divey stripper bar with some of the best mileage (touching everywhere except the kitty) and cheapest ($10/song) lap dances I’ve ever experienced. The entrance to the cinema is not private, but no one seems to give a shit in this progressive city. 

This grand old theatre is similar in atmosphere to the Art. There’s a huge main floor with padded theatre seating. On one side of the aisle is a roped-off couples section. The balcony is a VIP section for couples only, which I didn’t visit. As at the Art, there’s a lot of space towards the front of the theatre for curious viewers to observe what’s happening in the couple’s balcony (though sightlines aren’t as good as the Art).

My first visit was a Monday night, and I walked straight into the action. A very attractive, tight-bodied ~40-50-year-old woman with amazing breasts was naked and surrounded by a group of gropers. For at least 30 minutes, she alternated being fucked by her guy and blowing him, while accepting touching from the surrounding crowd and occasionally rewarding the exposed cocks with some jacking. Quite the scene. 

After some time in the melee, I sat back on the other side to observe and see what else might happen. A foursome of college-types came in and sat in the roped-off couples area, but they kept hands firmly in laps and left within 30 minutes. There was some nice showing off by a few couples in the balcony, with the usual line of viewers enjoying that sight from the front of the main floor. I visited again a few days later on a Wednesday night, which is trans night. It was a lot quieter, but for those into that sort of thing there were a few hot trans women enjoying themselves and others on the main floor, along with one or two couples putting on shows in the VIP balcony.

All in all, this clean and well-attended theatre is highly recommended.

Fantasy Factory, 1155 Davie St, Vancouver, Canada

This sex shop in the gay neighborhood of Vancouver recently opened a “theatre”. I was excited to see this, because Vancouver has been a blackhole on the adult theatre map since the demise of the two dedicated theatres on Main Street over 15 years ago. 

But I can’t recommend this theatre in Fantasy Factory. It is a small room, maybe 30x30 ft with a low ceiling. There are four screens, showing straight, trans, lesbian, and gay porn. The room is semi-divided with floor-to-ceiling panels cut with glory holes, and there are 8-10 plastic chairs scattered around. I took a quick look and was not turned on by the scene, so left quickly.

I had a series of meetings in Frankfurt last month, and was pleased to discover this gem in Germany’s hub of commerce. The facilities are housed in a nondescript sex shop, and include at least four separate rooms (each with screens showing good-quality straight porn, and comfortable couch seating) and a theatre room with a dozen comfortable padded theatre seats and several couches along sides and back). I was only able to check it out for the two hours before closing on a Sunday night. 

There were a number of men there but sadly only one couple. They spent some time in one of the larger rooms but within 20 minutes moved to a private room with a bed that can be rented for a small extra fee. This private room (along with one other free room with a lockable door) has viewing panels built into the wall that can be slid open or closed. This is really an incredible place to spend an evening, especially for the low price of 15 euros admission. I wish there were more places with this level of quality and comfort in the US. Next time I’m in Frankfurt for business, I’ll make sure to plan for a Friday and Saturday night stay to check this place out again.

Flash Report! A Pre-Blizzard Visit to Buffalo's Video Liquidators by Senior Journal Reporter Dry Clean Only in December 2022!

Doc here, a man who some say once roamed the mean streets of Buffalo NY. Streets that once were the home of the Capri Art Theater. Streets where The Good Doctor honed his craft, as well as several nice ladies over the years. He may have moved away to a windier place near the small women's liberal arts college, but still calls WNY home.

But his old hometown? In December? It's still bringing it...

Senior Journal Reporter, my good friend Dry Clean Only, lit up the teletype machine in the Journal HQ a few days ago, and out popped a banging new report from my old stomping grounds.  The location? Video Liquidators on Elmwood Ave. in Buffalo. 

This report could be a Ted Talk on proper adult theater behavior for single guys. Patience and respect was given to a great couple, and they were rewarded with a great scene.

DCO log, theaterdate December 2019, whoops, make that 2022 — where has the time gone?! 

My destination was business in the Nickel City, Buffalo NY. It was a midweek, cold-weather visit that would send most visitors from afar to the their cozy beds at the nearest Marriott after office hours, but not this intrepid Field Reporter for the esteemed Dr. Emilio Lizardo’s Journal of Adult Theaters. 

Video Liquidators, Buffalo NY

The venue of choice for this evening’s adventure was Video Liquidators (address in the Adult Theater dB) on Elmwood Avenue (not the be confused with a different location without a theater). As I entered the garage, there were at least eight cars there — a great sign the cold, weeknight visit wouldn’t be a busy one. 

Visitors of this particular venue have some amenities here that distinguish VL Elmwood from so many others I’ve visited during my tenure with The Journal: 

• secure, covered, private parking garage behind the theater for about forty vehicles… great for when the cold winds are whipping or the lake effect snow is blanketing the area 
• a clean, well-lit 1000sqft or so retail section with a large assortment of the usual suspects: vibes, outfits, restraints, videos, etc. *friendly, unassuming clerks 
• separate men’s and women’s restrooms 
• new video booths for one or more viewers with all the latest media and tech. However the old school tech is missing (no gloryholes). 
• two theaters with hard plastic stadium seating and large, bright projection screens. One theater still shows straight stuff, and the other still sticks to the gay male and bi genres. They are clean, too.

I started out in the booths to better ease my transition from work to sin — and to let my eyes adjust from retail to theater mode. I always appreciate the booths as a place to do this, and as a place to check the phone and pass some time when the theater isn’t entertaining. As readers should know, phone use is usually prohibited in the theaters and is definitely a turnoff for most singles and couples who want to let loose in that environment. (ed. note: GREAT POINT!)

After a suitable warm-up I checked the theater next to the booths (which is the gay/bi theater): no one was there. A surer bet that something was up in the other theater. And sure enough there was! 

About six guys were spread out at respectful viewing distance from a late 50s, attractive couple, silhouetted against the movie as I viewed them from the entrance at the back of the long and narrow theater. They were positioned about 2/3 of the way toward the movie screen and he was laying on his back, undressed, while his companion rode cowgirl, bra still on. I took a seat nearby and it wasn’t long before he waved me closer. 

This couple was slowly going through all the motions, but wasn’t looking for other participants, just voyeurs, though he did have me removed her bra and place it on a nearby chair. So I then happily sat and watched from a couple of different positions as they pleasured each other — and in many ways we single guys, too — from their position just a couple feet away from us.

Doc, once again, the chances of fun on a midweek, cold-weather visit aren’t to be underestimated in this thing of ours. And for new readers, the biggest lesson here isn’t in that message but rather in this one: The single guys knew to give the couple space, let them do their thing at their own pace, and to take the lead and direction of the “guiding partner”. In this case the couple knew they didn’t want to play with others and the guy also knew how to bring the guys closer for everyone’s pleasure, and the guys knew that it didn’t mean it was an invitation to get greedy.

This Video Liquidators location is ENORMOUS. It has one of the biggest retail sales floors this side of Tokyo Valentino in Atlanta, PLUS two large adult theaters AND COVERED PARKING.  I'm glad to hear that things are going well at VL!

A Tradition Like None Other: The Hanging of The Wreath of Khan on the Night Before Christmas

Doc here, a man who some say was once the centerfold in a 1977 Fingerhut holiday catalog, posing alongside a selection of colorful men's rompers.

It's Christmas Eve, and in a tradition longer than a lunchtime, the entire Lizardo family gathers to hang the Wreath of Khan on the front door of the home of The Journal of Adult Theaters, Lizardo Manor. 

Another tradition at Lizardo Manor is the reading of The Night Before Christmas, albeit it a slightly different form some may find upsetting or unnatural.
