2014 was a great year at The Journal, for many different reasons. First and foremost, it was because of you, the good readers of The Journal.
2014 saw The Journal earn 2.38 million pageviews. That is a lot of eyeballs on this thing of ours, as we continue to bring the adult theater scene from the shadows into slightly brighter light. Without your dedicated support, we would not be moving the needle the way we are experiencing right now.
2014 also saw three different adult theaters embrace themed couples and singles events with assistance from The Good Doctor: The Art Cinema in Hartford, 15th Ave. Adult Theater in Chicago, and The Westwood Theater Private Members Only Club in Toledo. Record attendance numbers were seen in all three venues throughout the year. And 2015 looks to be even bigger and better...
The contributors out there who submit their reports on the latest goings on at dozens of locales really outdid themselves this year. Without these eyes and ears in the field, we would be in the dark on what fantastic things may await you inside your favorite adult theater or ABS. One event alone (the 2014 Valentine's Party at The Art Cinema in Hartford) had 9 reports just on that single event. Incredible.
So as we dip our toes into 2015, The Journal will continue to strive to give you the best reports, pics, dialog, and direction in this thing of ours (and maybe even a good manicotti recipe along the way).
To our reporters out in the field, keep your foot on the accelerator. More reports from more locations = growth in this thing of ours. 2014 saw more international reports, from the UK, South Korea, Canada, and even a cruise ship someplace (Hi Maya!). To start off 2015 on the right note, a brand new category of report will lead things off: "The Good Doctor's Showcase". TGDS will be larger than life reports, filled with original content from The Good Doctor, in conjunction with senior reporters and contributors to The Journal. And in this first "Showcase", we will be featuring the amazing Hawaiian Eyeful from Portland. Her report from mid-November is about a certain photo shoot with a certain distinguished mustached gentleman from the East, and the shenanigans that followed during and after the photo shoot. Accompanying her awesome report are 20 photos from that shoot that will kick start your 2015 better than a 5 Hour Energy.
Lastly, from the bottom of my meatball scented white Italian linen suit, thank you again for a great 2014! As good as it was, 2015 will be even better.
