Good news for the Quad Cities, though. There's a new place in town: The Adult Shop at 20980 N Brady St, Davenport, IA 52806. Although the postal address is Davenport, the town is actually Mt. Joy, so people refer to the shop as Mt. Joy. 

There are eight medium-sized booths with two chairs in each. The middle two booths share a gloryhole. There's a larger ninth booth with maybe half a dozen chairs and an open mini-theater area. Booths have an up-to-date video system with seemingly endless movies to choose from. The theater has a single TV with just one movie playing at a time. There is also a store with all the usual adult stuff. 

Apparently, the place used to be a strip club. The remodeling was done in no-budget DIY style, so it's a new store that feels old and worn out. I can't decide whether that's a good thing or a bad thing, but if there's action, no one will complain about the decor.

I know firsthand that it's couples-friendly and at lease one couple goes there to play (although not with me on the day I visited), so that's promising. Admission is ten dollars for all day. They're open seven days a week: Sunday–Thursday 10-10 and Friday–Saturday 10-midnight.

Jean & I thought we hadn't contributed to the Journal in a while, but we're back now and it's always a "pleasure" to share our exploits with Doc and all of you! 

Jean and I had a free evening late on a Friday night so we decided to check out a well-known midwest adult complex that we hadn't been to in a few months. It was our hope that by inviting one guy and also by going earlier (around 10 pm) that Jean would have a fair amount of potential playmates.

You enter through a locked door to find a few couches hidden from the theater and then a space viewable by all (plexiglass front) with a couch and a table with stirrups? 

We then headed back to check out the arcade area. We settled on a booth, picked out a movie, and got comfy. Speaking of comfy, this night marked the debut of one of Jean's best ideas - the collapsible camping stool. She could adjust the height so it was perfect for saving her knees and avoiding touching the floors (even though they were freshly mopped). Field Report! Mack Stud Reports on Club 5150 in Las Vegas, NV in March 2023!

They call me Mack Stud. 

I remember 15th Avenue in Chicago before it had the spa so I’m a veteran of this thing of ours.

Anyway, I’m out here in Las Vegas, and thought I’d try the place that seemed most promising from docs database, club 5150. It’s 15 minutes by car from the strip and according to online reviews nicer and more up to date than the green door.

I arrived in Vegas on a Sunday and the place is not open on Mondays or Tuesdays so checked it out at 11pm. It doesnt open at night until 10pm which seems odd. Anyway it’s pricey at $80 for admission. I was hoping to find a gang bang in action upon arrival but no such luck. I saw three women total, two dressed in lingerie who repaired to a locked room together to giggle and change lingerie. The other gal was with her guy just chilling .

The top floor has any number of rooms, only one being occupied i suppose by the two women. There’s a pool table with two guys playing and a few others hanging out here and there. The bottom floor was totally empty of people but filled with bdsm equipment and a few open rooms. Noticed some glory hole booths but again I was the only person down there.

I’d guess it’s a great place on a Friday or Saturday night but at $80 for single guys from out of state isles a pricey foray.

I will see if I can check out the adult book stores later and will report if I do.

Flash Report! Raygun Conquers Long Island NY with Visits to Showworld, Fantasy, and World II Adult Entertainment Centers in February 2023!

Speaking of New York, senior Journal of Adult Theaters scribe Raygun is back, and has submitted a GREAT 3-chapter report on a trio of Long Island adult venues: Showworld, Fantasy, and World II.

With thoughts of Lou Reed singing "Candy came from out on the island, in the backroom she was everybody's darling," I ventured out to West Babylon, Long Island, to visit Showworld, Fantasy, and World II. (Every adventure needs a soundtrack.) How West Babylon became a haven for adult businesses I have no idea, but this trio are within blocks of each other. The area is mostly one-story light industrial buildings, like the setting of my hometown haunt, 15th Avenue Adult Emporium in Chicago.

First up was Showworld Adult Entertainment at 96 Field St. Admission is $18 for a day pass, but for $20 your pass is good all day at both Showworld and Fantasy. It's definitely worth the extra two dollars.

When you walk in, it feels more like a strip club than an adult theater, and that's because basically it is. I should say it's like the back end of a strip club. There's no bar or stage, just the girls and VIP rooms. When I was there, there were maybe five girls, including one trans-girl. When not working, they lounge around on plush couches happy to talk to anyone showing an interest. I didn't find out how much they charge, and what they do I'll leave to the imagination. 

But I was there for the amateurs, not the working girls. There are two theaters, but they're really more like lounges with multiple TVs on the walls and curtained gloryhole booths along one side. The place has kind of a club feel but without the alcohol. Both theaters are divided into two rooms with plush couches and beds arranged with varying degrees of privacy. The larger theater has low walls along two sides which give a little privacy if that's what you're looking for. 

I was there on a Wednesday, so it may not have been the best night, but it was hardly empty. There were two t-gurls and a number of guys. One gurl was constantly on the prowl and I watched her give a couple blowjobs. The other gurl, the pretty one, I couldn't figure out and I think she may have been charging. 

After a while a couple came in. They walked through the place then picked a corner to stand in. She was wearing a plastic glow necklace, but didn't need it to be noticed. After a minute or two she pulled out her big tits and stood there basically topless. A couple guys approached but the husband berated them for not giving them five minutes before starting to follow them around. 

Soon they moved behind one of the low walls and she invited a guy to play with her tits. After a few-minute warm-up they moved to one of the couches out in the open where she started giving blowjobs and invited guys to come on her tits. Once the show was over I decided it was time to check out Fantasy Adult Entertainment nearby at 54 Nancy St. The arrangement and feel of the place was very similar to Showworld except that the theaters were a little less lounge-like and more space was devoted to the dancers with the addition of "peep show" booths. It seemed like a nice place, but since it was more or less empty I decided to go back to Showworld. Since they're only a few minutes apart it's easy to go back and forth.

Both locations are amazingly clean for adult businesses. Staff were friendly and security was good. I'm sure they're mostly concerned about the the girls who work there, but it helps make them more appealing to t-gurls and couples too. 

Finally, I visited World II Adult Entertainment located between Showworld and Fantasy at 92 Kean St., but I didn't actually pay to go in.

I had seen a post announcing a "big tit MILF gangbang" in one of the private rooms ($80 for single guys) and the half dozen or so cars in the parking must have been there for that. As far as I could tell the rest of the place was empty, just bored dancers walking around. It was a weird vibe and I didn't feel like paying $20 for nothing, so I said maybe I'd come back later but didn't. It apeared to be arranged much like Showworld and Fantasy with a couple theaters, booths, dancers, and VIP rooms. They apparently have private party rooms too (for when you want to arrange a big-tit MILF gangbang for example). It may be worth another try the next time I find myself on Long Island, but Showworld is more likely to be my first stop. That place seemed like a winner.
