On The Road with The Good Doctor: Back to Michigan Edition

Doc here, a man who some say has the penetrating eyes of Rasputin, while other's say it's more of a Louis Prima look.  You be the judge.

The Good Doctor is back on the road this week, and once again it's Michigan.  I might be able to squeeze a trip in to Romantix in Battle Creek, so stayed tuned.

I also have a ton a great reports in the hopper that I will get up on The Journal as soon as time allows. I appreciate your patience, and you'll be rewarded by some great reports.

TONIGHT! An Evening with Cathy at CTs Adult Theater in Gary, IN on Friday August 12th, 2016 at 9pm! Hosted by Doc!

How often do you get an invite to party WITH a porn star?

Internet porn legend Cathy will be appearing at CTs Adult Theater in Gary, Indiana Friday night, August 12th, 2016 at 9pm!  And none other than your old friend in the white suit and aviators will be escorting Cathy and her hubby Peter to CTs!

Here are the rules of the road:

1. Be freshly showered. If you smell like you just put in a 12 hour shift at the mill, you will be on the sidelines. 
2. Be ready. Wet noodles need not apply.
3. Do your job, and make way for the next person. Make it snappy. 
4. We will be visiting the GHs and the theater. Be patient, and good things may come your way. 
5. We typically spend 2+ hours there, until there isn't a dry eye in the house. 
6. Lastly, and importantly... Be well behaved. Pushy behavior will not be tolerated. Don't be that guy that turns a great night into short night.

Flash Report! The Return of Joe the Cabdriver (and the Michigan Adult Theater Scene)

Doc here, a man who some say once bounced on a pogo stick for 14 hours straight before being spooked by a large bug.

At last month's Beach Blanket Bango Party at 15th Ave. in Chicago, I met for the first time regular contributor Joe the Cabdriver.  Joe had the look of a starving man at a buffet, with so much going on around him, he had his choice of dishes to savor.

Joe also could not have been any nicer a guy. We had a great conversation about the Michigan adult theater scene before I had to prepare to MC the sexy outfit contest at the event.

Hi Doc,

It's Joe The Cabdriver with a long over due update from Grand Rapids, Michigan and West Michigan scene in general. 

Goddamn! I've been on a porn theater tear as of a late, having extra money and extra time to take up one of my favorite hobbies once again. I've definately been making up for lost time.

Nothing new to report from Grand Rapids itself. The Cini-Mini on Plainfield and Adult XXX Superstore on Division are still devoid of couples, still pathetic, at least if you're looking for This Thing Of Ours. The Cini-Mini is actually a nice place, remodeled, and doesn't smell like pee anymore. Most shenanigans happen in the bathroom, which has porn playing in the stalls. The Division XXX has a small store, no booths, a lounge, and a back area for shenanigans. I did happen to see a really old man bring a really methed-out woman in there. Other than that, no action. Sad sad sad.

I have been making ventures to the Odyssey in Muskegon. Attached to a small all nude strip club with very friendly dancers, the theater is a clean, nice facility; with a straight and gay theater, booths with gloryholes, a lounge with many couches, and two TV's playing straight porn above a stage (I'm assuming the room is used as a secondary strip club of sorts). It also features a small private room for couples; with TV, couch, and glass window with curtain. I did not see any couple's action in the theater the few times I visited, though it does cater to and attract them. Hopefully my luck will change this weekend.

Doc here, a man who some say was once caught with 5 years worth of Shopsy's sewn into an overcoat, with a very special (to my heart) Visit Announcement in my old stomping grounds of Western NY.

My good friends, Silk & Tony from Toronto will be stopping by Video Liquidators on Elmwood Ave (address info in the Adult Theater Database) in Buffalo, NY Saturday night, August 6th.  They intend to take in a show or two in the adult theater.

Silk, who by the way is a total smoke show of the highest order, has a bit of a sweet tooth. You see, she loves chocolate. And she would love to see plenty of chocolate in the theater enjoying a show while they are also there. She appreciates the way chocolate tastes, as well as the way it feels.

Couple's Flash Report! The Luscious Laura at Fantasyland (I and II) in Tampa 7/29/16

Doc here, a man who some say cannot get enough surfing in during a single day, with a timely Couple's Flash Report from my good friend The Luscious Laura.  

The Luscious Laura and her beau, Mr. Wayne, visited Fantasyland I and II last night (7/29), and had a good ol' hot and sticky time at Tampa's top adult theater.  The Lizardo Lantern heralded their arrival, and the guys were more than excited to see her.

Hi Doc,

We arrived at Fantasyland I around 9. We bounced between both locations over the course of the night. The staff was amazing! The theater areas and private rooms were clean and the guys were polite and respectful.  

My first play encounter was at FL2 - someone who reads Doc's blog approached me. We ended up having a hot time in the fish bowl.  Everyone in the theater was up against the glass watching us play.  (ed. note: Reading The Journal has it's benefits.)

We made it back over to FL I to see if things had picked up.  There were 3 couples in the theater and a few guys watching.  Around 11 the theater was packed with couples. I think there were at least 10 from what I could see and I'm sure there were more on the other side of the building.

We were able to play with 3 in private rooms before calling it a night.

As always, it was a positive experience for us.  We will be going back tonight, July 30th for more fun.

The Lizardo Lantern Shines Again Tonight (7/30) at Fantasyland in Tampa: Luscious Laura Visit Edition

Doc here, a man who some say once in the 1980's was perched on top of an adult theater, with a crude, homemade spotlight. When a couple would enter said theater, he would flip the switch, throwing the first Lizardo Lantern into the upstate NY sky. His results at that time were mixed at best.

Flash forward to 2016. The Lizardo Lantern is now a 200,000 watt halogen blowtorch, with enough power to make men, women, and couples turn their car around and drive to an adult theater. 

On Friday night 7/29, after an overnight flatbedding trip from Chicago to Tampa, FL, The Lizardo Lantern was placed atop Fantasyland I in Tampa, to signal the arrival of Journal favorite, The Luscious Laura. At 9pm ET, The Lantern was fired up upon the entry of The Luscious Laura and Mr. Wayne, with great, sticky results. 

Tonight, 7/30, The Lizardo Lantern will be ready to illuminate the Drew Park sky once again over Fantasyland, as the Luscious Laura returns for the back half of her weekend double-header. Doc's Musical Interlude for a Saturday Afternoon: The Tubes - Mondo Bondage

Doc here, a man who some say once refused to get out of a lazy river attraction in Council Bluffs, IA for close to three weeks. He was never charged with a violation.

It's Saturday, and that means it's time for Doc's Musical Interlude for a Saturday Afternoon. Regular readers know the drill... These videos capture somewhat edgy tunes from The Good Doctor's youth, and typically have a punk or post-punk vibe to them. This video however pre-dates both genres, debuting in 1975. 

The Tubes were a San Francisco based band, first known for their big hit "White Punks on Dope".  However, for reasons that are pretty clear, The Good Doctor's fave Tubes tune is this little number, "Mondo Bondage".
