I have for your review the next report from loyal Journal correspondents and from I hear, excellent drivers, Amber & Jade. They visited Adult World in Rensselaer, NY, and have submitted their opinion back to The Good Doctor.

Well it looks like we’ve struck out in this thing of ours. It’s a bit out of place making a baseball reference and I don’t really follow sports but it seems fitting. After a brief visit of the Paris in Portland, Amber and I have been fantasizing about visiting Adult World in Rensselaer, NY. We’ve gone three times now and have left with disappointment each time.
First time: We went in, browsed the store and left. It was a Friday and there were a lot of single men sitting in their cars rushing in when we went in to the store. Guys, that doesn’t help nerves if a couple or single lady wants to go in.

Third time: Not a charm. Went in, minimal browsing then straight to the theater. $9 cash each. It was Thursday night and there was only one guy in the theater. It is a very small theater with 12 seats and the row we sat in wobbled! At the front was a small screen showing some mmf bi film and a camera. Concerned, we asked shorter nerdy clerk who had a hard time looking Amber in the face. He said that the camera was closed-circuit and he didn’t think it recorded anywhere. He said they used it to make sure no one was doing anything inappropriate in the theater since it was still considered a public place. He also mentioned that if someone was having intercourse he would ask them to move to the booths (since those are private) to prevent any trouble with law enforcement.
I’ve heard stories of fun in the theater and I don’t know if that is a new addition (I didn’t see a monitor behind the desk) so your mileage may vary. Deterred, we spent our remaining $2 in a booth but weren’t in the mood anymore. There are about a dozen booths in a maze configuration and the one we went in had a buddy button if you wanted it.
We don’t think we’ll be going back anytime soon unless there are more reports of successes at Adult World. We’re looking forward to hearing about more events at the Art Cinema, despite the longer drive it seems like our best bet.

P.S. Asking around on CL it sounds like the helpful clerk with the long hair is cool with couples in the theater but the other clerk might not be. It also sounds like the camera might only get the first two rows and is rarely checked. Some people have had good success and other have been asked to move to the booths.
