Hi Doc,

I'd been planning my trip to Texas for quite some time, and knew that I wanted to check out at least *something* in the local area as far as the adult theater scene. I'm no longer a complete newbie to this thing - having just passed my 1 year anniversary of being indoctrinated into all things sexy and wrong - but travelling to a new city and doing things with new strangers felt scarier, sexier and just kinda interesting...

We planned two trips to ATA during our visit (and had planned to visit Austin 6 as well, but ran out of time - ATX, we will be back at some point ;) ). At any rate, new situations make me nervous, excited and hot.

A few days prior to travelling, we threw up a little bit of advertisement - looking for some attention to welcome us to Austin during a Friday night theater visit at ATA. (to clarify - I got it mixed up before we went and thought that ATA had a theater, but it is actually all booths. More on that later).

ATA is a big, standalone building. There are several entrances, and the parking lot was not busy - but not empty when we arrived. We entered and did a little walk through of the main space, noting two separate sections of booths -- smoking and not smoking -- on either side of the building. A large selection of porn, sex toys and other goodies, with higher value lingerie and niceties behind doors in a locked room you needed to request access to.

I used the washroom to dry off and settle my nerves a little bit while my chaperone spoke with the clerk and got the details. By the time I came out, he had a handful of tokens (you need tokens - not cash - at ATA). and was ready to lead me into the dark hallways.

We did a quick walk through and drew some attention; my eyes were lowered but taking in everything around me.

The booths at ATA are in a clean hallway, and there are a LOT of them. They are all numbered - making it easy to say where you'll be, BTW. They are less like the typical little stall-style arcade booths we have back at home and more like a bunch of very small mini-theaters. Seriously - you would easily be able to have a small group in any of them - I would say comfortably 5 people per, but you could be cozy and have more than that. They have several layouts - some with a bench on each side of the room and open space in the middle - and others with a sort of room divider "hallway" when you first enter - so you don't step right into the action. They have two benches pew-style.

Overall, it is cleaner than any other arcade I've been to and unique.

L and I settled into one of the open-space booths and locked the door. We planned to have visitors join us, not play with anonymous strangers that night.
