Hi Doc,A little bit delayed but I did promise to finish my story of revisiting Seattle theaters last month. I had the opportunity to pop into a few of them and I have to say...I can't wait to head back and do my "usual" thing... (I'm definitely picturing plastic lawn chairs, folding metal chairs and dirty floors and an absolute feeling of being surrounded....but I digress).
Besides my two trips to Airport Video in Everett that I already told you about, my girlfriend and I headed south down memory lane and made appearances at Video Videos, Murder Basement (err... Hollywood Erotic Boutique) and APV in Des Moines.
We headed out late morning on a rainy day; myself in a cute little dress and a leather jacket and my company was dressed a bit riskier in fishnets and a long sweater that barely covered her booty, plus a big leather collar. We picked up some tacos and hit the road.

When we pulled up, the cat hotel next door seemed busier but we walked in and walked through the small retail section of porn, before approaching the desk and getting the ok to enter the theater.
Video Videos is fairly simple: one small retail room boasting a lot of magazines and DVDs. A small counter and an eccentric clerk. There's a door near the cashier; entering directly into a small dark room with a few chairs and a padded bench. There's three rooms stacked together but they're separated only by walls that create partitions. It's always dark in there. I've never paid attention to the porn...and there's a gloryhole on one of the wall partitions (between the middle and back "rooms").

It was pretty much the same as the last time I'd been.
So we walked into darkness. When I say dark...it's almost disorienting until your eyes adjust. We briskly walked through the three sections, finding one guy in the back by himself, and then I turned on my phone flashlight while we walked back to the front room, because I felt a little creeped out by the idea of not being able to tell if anyone was there :)

Hollywood Erotic Boutique, HEB, AKA Murder Basement) was like coming home.... we were charged admission, which I'd never been there before, and used the spectacularly dirty bathroom before heading down the back stairs into the basement.

The layout was the same as before, but with many less chairs. Several big rooms, loud porn on the TV, metal folding chairs that scrape on the concrete floor.

I mourned for Secrets (now closed) when we got to the area, and we parked in a very, very busy parking lot at Airport Video. The retail area at APV South is large and open, tons and tons of porn for your purchasing pleasure. We walked through the arcade; a lot of bodies everywhere, a lot of attention - but didn't slip into any of the booths due to the lack of doors. There's definitely a busy scene there with a lot of male activity and a good number of booths, gloryholes...

We paid admission for the theater and stepped in. There are two rooms; straight/not so straight - both were busy. Since my last visit, they've upgraded for sure: several long, padded benches and many less torn up airplane seats.
I was a bit surprised by the number of guys (probably about 16-18 in the straight area) and we sat against the wall at the side of the room to survey the scene.
In my usual life, I would have been turned loose and surrounded but in my casual role as companion to R, I had to miss out on that and keep an eye on what was going on.

We sat for a while, creating some interest but everyone was very respectful with our lack of cues for wanting to be approached. Once I had a handle on the scene I stood us up and walked to the bench at the front of the room, beside the screen. We put on another little show there, had to tell a few boys "no", and R again opened her legs and put on a show for everyone with a bit of help from me.
We had one fellow sit directly in front of us: knees touching, basically. I'll just say he was in the splash zone...
That concludes my trip down memory lane and the refueling of my desire for more.
Seattle: I'll be back.
