I have kept a close watch on the bookings into the Tampa, Hillsborough County Jail and have found none in the last week or two that have listed the address of Fantasyland as the place of arrest.  If LE is monitoring the FL site and/or your blog, they may be aware that the public records are being scrutinized and may have acted to make it more difficult.  What I mean is that they could easily be placing people under arrest at a different location than FL and using that as the location.  It would involve following people that are ID'd within FL and radioing or cell phoning another unit to follow them when they leave and arrest them blocks away.  Another option is to just flat out lie and say they arrested them somewhere else (no, that would never happen....Ya, right).  Another thing they could be doing is to write Notices to Appear (NTA's) and release the "suspects" with just their signatures as a promise to appear in court.  This would prevent any booking record from being made.

Today, I checked my bank and noted that the check to cover the cost of my public records request had cleared my bank, so I suspect that the reports I requested are en route to me via snail mail.  I may not get them if they arrive before Monday.  So, I must keep you on pins and needles for a brief additional time period.  The positive thing is that the Tampa Police Department is apparently going to give me what I asked for as they cashed the check.  Had they denied the request, they would be required to return my payment with an explanation of what and why they were denying the request.

LMAO.

Field Report: Love Stuff in Cordele, GA by WM

On a recent business trip to Cordele, GA, I wanted to stop by and see the new and improved Love Stuff and all the changes they have made.  It had been several years since I had been in and at that time, it was just a store with no theater or booths.

I entered the store and browsed around checking everything out.  I ventured over to the new area and found the owner.  We chatted for a while and he showed me around.  I paid my fee and visited the Theater.  I was very impressed with the place as it is extremely clean.  With no couples in the Theater, I checked out the Booths and found them to be clean as well, with doors and a few with gloryholes.  Since there were no couples I walked back out to the store and looked around.  The staff there is top notched and makes you feel welcome.

Even though no couples visited the theater or booth area that night, there was a lot of couple traffic in the store area.  I saw 8 couples come in with a few peeking into the new area, but none wanted to stay.  Several of these couples had very good looking women and would have loved to have had the chance to see them visit the play areas.  I am heading back there next week and will plan to make a couple of stops and will report on my findings.

Flash Report: Twin Cinemas At Buford Highway by Tom Austin

This report from Atlanta (actually Doraville, right outside Atlanta) and the venerable Twin Cinemas At Buford Highway (formerly Buford Highway Twin Cinema).  This theater was closed for the better part of two years before new ownership took over and re-opened last Labor Day weekend.

As the Good Doctor has often reminded us, "take it slow, and good things will happen". This was my experience earlier this week at the Twin Cinemas at Buford Highway in Atlanta when a really hot, fun couple joined the few of us who remained on the late shift.

This theater itself is the classic suburban format built in the late 70's or early 80's. Each of the two theaters has seats to hold at least 200 people and is still in a very clean, respectable condition, showing only strength movies. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and an overall plus to the operation. Couples are always admitted free and there is a couples-only section in theater #1 of about six rows, although a couple can invite a single guy to join them if they wish. I-TEAM REPORT: Tampa Is Hot (And Not In A Good Way)

Doc here with an important I-Team Report in regard to this thing of ours and Tampa.  The Journal is lucky to have just brought on board Enzyte Bob, who has an excellent finger on the pulse of the Tampa adult theater scene.  Those of you who read his prior Flash Report (HERE) on Fantasyland I and II, know him to be a very thorough reporter.

As a bit of background for you, the good readers of The Journal... On Sunday morning, I picked up on a post on a Yahoo Group (from a couple) that when they drove by Fantasyland I on Lois Avenue on Saturday night, there were 2 Tampa squad cars, along with a police van in the parking lot.

Not good.

So, being the responsible Sicilian Doctor that I am, I went over to the overnight arrests from Tampa (from Saturday night).  After going through (I shit you not) 100+ arrests, I didn't find anything that could have led back to Fantasyland I or II.  The Good Doctor will not publish a red flag unless I get some solid corroboration from a second party, not matter where it originates from.

This is where Enzyte Bob jumps in and puts on his Lizardo I-Team hat.  The following is the report I received from him in regard to information he picked up on regarding possible arrests:

Dear Doc,

In response to a post in the forum section on the Fantasyland website, I did some research and found out some interesting information I thought I would share with you.  This is also posted on the Fantasyland website.

I have managed to confirm that two men were booked into the Hillsborough County Jail on April 1, 2011. They were charged with "exposure of sexual organs". This is a misdemeanor and the police have the discretion to either book a person into the jail or issue them a "Notice to Appear" (NTA) and release them. There would be no online record of anyone that was NTA'd and released. The above is important because the men booked into the county jail were arrested at 4715 Lois Avenue according to the booking records. You may recognize this as the address of Fantasyland I. I am going to request copies of the arrest reports under public records law and see if I can't fill in the details (Ed. note: EB later confirmed the request was sent in and we are waiting for the records to arrive via snail mail).

Additional research indicates that on March 18, 2011, two men were arrested for lewd and lascivious conduct, also at 4715 Lois Avenue (Fantasyland I).  Interestingly, the lewd and lascivious charge is a second degree misdemeanor punishable by no more than 60 days, while exposure of sexual organs is a first degree misdemeanor punishable by up to a year.  I find it interesting that if you whip it out and do nothing, you can go to jail for a year.  If you whip it out and jerk it off, you can only go to jail for 60 days.  Kinda screwed up, but that is just me.  I am very fortunate to have been there on March 26, which is one weekend day on which there were no arrests made.

It would seem the police have Fantasyland on their radar yet again.  The only thing to do at this point would seem to take advantage of the private rooms, invite who you want in and then close the door for privacy.
