International Flash Reports are arguably my favorite reports. They are familiar, and yet totally disparate from the North American adult theater experience. Couple this type of report with an excellent senior Journal reporter in Raygun, goodness awaits our eyeballs.
Raygun was in Berlin, Germany last week, and when time allowed, he did some recon for us on diese Sache von uns while there on vacation.

I was in Berlin, Germany last week hoping to check out the scene. Berlin is famous for its sex clubs, but the late-night party scene wasn't on my agenda this time (maybe on a future visit). Instead I had to make due with more conventional daytime locations. I came across a good one called Erdbeermund Sex Kino located at Sybelstrasse 14 in Charlottenburg, not far from the Kurfürstendamm (or Ku'damm for short), the famous upscale shopping street in the western city center.

"Kino" is a German word for movie theater. "Sex Kino" sounds obvious, but there are different types. Some have a small theater, maybe a bar, and a selection of girls who might join you while you watch the movie. Erdbeermund isn't that kind of place. It's more of a cruising spot with a variety of play spaces tailored to suit different tastes. They describe themselves as an "Erlebniskino" or "experience theater" offering "a special experience for him and her."
There's a large sex shop on the ground floor, but the second floor theater is totally separate with two outside entrances. Admission is 12 Euros. Unfortunately, it's a single admission only, no leaving and coming back. So if you go, plan to stay a while. Interestingly, there is no front counter or attendant on duty, just a turnstile entrance that unlocks after you deposit your money.
Once inside it's like a maze. I'm pretty good with directions and visualizing space, but I had the hardest time orienting myself. Maybe I'll just blame it on jet lag, but I kept walking around never quite sure where I was.

There are seven small theaters with from six to twelve seats each. Some have padded benches. Between the theaters are several dark corners, a couple private rooms, a not so private room, and six booths with gloryholes. Basically, there's every kind of space you could want. There is also an area with lockers and vending machines and a smoking area for those who must. This being Germany, the vending machines also sell beer. Fortunately, they provided a diagram of the layout so I don't have to try to describe it.

The place seems to have great potential for women and couples, but I don't know what really goes on. I was there on a weekday afternoon and there were maybe ten guys in the place.
All of a sudden I saw a hot young women and got really interested. She looked like a young Jamie Lee Curtis in thigh-high boots, a short skirt, a tight-fitting sweater, and a leather jack with a small backpack. I followed her and lost her and then found her again. She turned out to be a trans girl with a great body and amazing breasts (like Jamie Lee Curtis in Trading Places). I'm sure she's not the only non-guy who visits the place, so it's definitely worth a shot for anyone who might be visiting Berlin.
