Field Report! A Lido Theater Protocol Report from Salicious24u

Doc here with a follow-up report from an earlier report on The Lido Theater in Dallas.  The main question from the original poster was the Couple's Night policy.

Salicious24u made a comment on this report, but I have decided to bring it front and center in it's own report.

Lido is pretty confusing.. even for an experienced couple not afraid to ask questions. It took us 3 or 4 weekends to understand what happens there and when.

The theater, lounges, hallways and bathrooms are for Couples and VIP only after 9pm Fri/Sat. For a VIP fee of $125, single men can get a wristband and will be admitted to the theater.

The private rooms upstairs are for rent anytime for a fee OR are paid for by feeding bills into the video machine.

To be clear: As a single guy you can ONLY be upstairs at Lido on Friday or Saturday night IF you have rented a room or paid the VIP admission fee. There is security at the main door and watching the hallways, the private rooms lounges and the theater.

The rules are strict for a non-VIP single guy: If you rent a room, you must stay IN the room, you are not allowed to wander the halls or go into the theater (after 9pm Fri/Sat). You will get kicked out of Lido if you try it. There are cameras everywhere inside and out in the public areas.

Couples like this set up because IF you want a single guy you can choose from any of the guys standing in their private room doorways (think Amsterdam's red light district). On the other hand, if you want a couple, then you can go into the theater or park it in one of the lounges to watch for the right couple to come in.

While we have seen couples in the downstairs theater, they are usually there by mistake. We have also seen guys upstairs with the VIP bracelets.. and others parked in the private rooms.

Ok so got all that? Ok good cause it gets a little weirder... If you are in the theater after 9pm Fri/Sat there are going to be 20+ couples in there. Playing in the seats like anywhere else? No. From what we have observed, couples in the seats are watching and/or waiting. All the action is on the back wall(s). This happens precisely at Midnight. Nothing.. nothing... nothing.. and whamo.. back wall is packed with couples swapping groping sucking and fucking. It gets HOT and HUMID in there so bring water, there is a machine downstairs. Mostly its just foreplay that moves down the hall into one of the private rooms or somewhere more private.

We have been to Lido during the day, and during the evening on weekdays... We have found mostly nothing going on and no-one there you would want to do anything with anyway. Friday and Saturday late nights are when everyone goes.

Lastly we wouldn't recommend accosting or harassing anyone in the parking lot (security frowns on that) but we have picked up single guys and couples while sitting in our car.

Hartford Report #1: M&S at Mardi Gras @ The Art Cinema (w/6 PICS!)

A Quick Note From The Good Doctor: Post Hartford Edition

A weary Doc here, finally back home in The Valley near the small women's liberal arts college.

It was quite the weekend in Hartford, with The Good Doctor hosting Mardi Gras @ The Art Cinema.  The event was a HUGE success, with a total of 34 couples spending the evening with us, and a great crowd of single guys rounding out a great atmosphere inside this terrific adult theater. 

As hot as the temperature was outside (mid-90's), the action was even hotter both up in the couple's VIP balcony, as well as the main floor of The Art.  An incredible scene that will be chronicled throughout the coming week here at The Journal.

I had high hopes for a weekend jaunt to the Gateway City.  Halfway there I wished I'd sent Major Voyeur a note to see if he had any leads or knew anybody needing a wingman.  I've not met him personally, but I feel like I'm in his house in the St. Louis area.   But things looked good; a CL posting said a hot gal would be at Hustler Club at 1 AM wanting some serious action.  I even got a response and a pic, they said 1:30 latest.  These are not my optimum hours, but it was nice to have a safety fuck if I wasn't already a spent heap in my motel room by then.

Back to Hustler at 1 AM for the safety booty call.  Alas, gave up at 1:45.  I know that the Major would have scored something hot and spicy at 3 AM in the theater or a booth, but that is not in the Professor's skill set.

Flash Report! Preptech Hits The Lido Theater in Dallas

I get to Lidos about 8pm on Saturday and walk in and pay the modest fee. The store is big and the guy behind the counter was cool. There are two theaters, the downstairs one is horrible and it shows gay movies. Not my thing.

I get buzzed into the upstairs area and it was amazing as first impression go. There about about 10 very large private rooms. I will get back to those later. I go into the upstairs theater, it's about 8:20 by now and there are about 10 guys standing sitting, jacking, whatever. I watched for a few and wanted to walk around a bit to check out if any ladies or couples were in the bookstore.

Here is this extremely hot lady going to town and it gets shut down at exactly 9pm. If anything you would think he would let the scene play out until finished but not this guy, 9 meant 9. I politely went up to the couple and asked if they wanted to take this to one of the rooms I aforementioned. She said yes,yes, yes but her boyfriend said no. So the mood died and that was it. 

I went to talk with the guy at the counter downstairs and he said there rule was at 9 on Fri. and Sat. is was couples only upstairs. UNLESS YOU WANTED TO PAY THE VIP FEE OF $125.00. Are you kidding me? Not. As I finish up talking with the counter guy I see the couple walk out the door. Bottom line, the couple left when the guys had to leave, now that makes good business sense, lol.

I stick around for a couple more minutes and go into the gay theater to see if maybe a couple might be in there playing. Sized up the scene and left Lido for good. That is crazy, couples only after 9 and they hold strict to the timeline even when a hot chick is playing freely and wants it bad.

Remember I mentioned how nice I thought the private rooms upstairs were, I come to find out that you just don't feed them like a peep show the rooms are rented for I think $40.00 per half hour. Not sure on this but I think that is what some dude told me before I left. This needs to be confirmed because I don't know how the staff would check on them constantly to make sure they were not being use. 

Nice upstairs theater, very dumb 9pm rule and the downstairs theater is disgusting.

Doc here again... Nicely done, Preptech.  The Lido is a unique adult theater, as detailed by this report.  Let me try and explain...

On Friday and Saturday nights @ 9pm, The Lido switches to a Couple's Only upper floor (theater and private rooms).  This draws in a healthy amount of couples obviously, and they have been doing this for years successfully.  The downstairs theater switches to straight movies.  The more adventurous couples who like single guys will venture downstairs eventually... But one must exercise patience... Remember The Good Doctor's Golden Rule?  "Patience in an adult theater is an investment, and will yield successful results to those who exercise it."

I have personally exercised it at The Lido.

My advice: Thursday nights is the best night for single guys @ The Lido looking for couples. Get there at 8pm, and exercise the golden rule.

Tonight! Mardi Gras @ The Art Cinema in Hartford @ 7PM!

Friday Evening Update from Hartford

Doc here... Reporting from the insurance capital of the world, Hartford.

It's hot here folks... Pushing 90, but it will be even hotter Saturday night for Mardi Gras @ The Art Cinema.  The theatre is getting lots of calls about the event, Craigslist is filled with posts about couples planning on attending, and I'm getting direct e-mails from couples as well.

Hey Doc,

I've been reading for awhile, and I decided I should probably contribute to the cause. I may not be your usual contributor, but here it goes. This story is from a few weeks back.

After just becoming a legal adult, I was looking for something to do with my new power when I found the fantasy booths at Jolar's.
