Freeze Frame Report! The Return of the San Diego Smokeshow (w/7 NEW PICS!)

Doc here, a man who some say once went head to head with a group of three nuns in a paintball contest somewhere outside Montgomery, NY.  Details of the contest are sealed under a court order.

Lizardos and Lizardettes, it's been a minute. The Good Doctor has been busy with non-Lizardo activities made somewhat difficult these past few months by the pandemic, and (to a much lesser degree) a bad haircut three weeks ago.  Luckily, things are easing up on both fronts.

To celebrate both events, I bring to you a very welcome update from my good friends The San Diego Smokeshow and her consort, LI

To the initiated, The San Diego Smokeshow & LI made a memorable and unannounced visit to San Diego's Jolar Cinema a few years ago, and the gentlemen on hand got quite the eyeful (see this great report HERE).

Over the last few years, we have been graced by brand new pics of the SDSS on occasion, and today my friends we have a brand new batch of great pics of this amazing lady!

Relax, pop open a Fresca (Hi Gemini!), and soak in these new images of The San Diego Smokeshow!

Thanks,

Doc

Smut for a Sunday Evening Returns! An Exclusive Preview 8mm Loop from Piper the Gloryhole Princess in HD!

A good evening to you, and to all the ships at sea. When we last left The Good Doctor, he was methodically climbing behind a mostly plywood 4'x6' peep show booth on an early Sunday morning. Despite his lab coat getting caught on some ragged surfaces, he was able to change the 8mm projector bulb in the Bell & Howell Lumina 6.9.

The reason for his haste in getting the Lumina 6.9 up and running?  Why, Lizardos & Lizardettes, it's because a brand new 8mm loop arrived to the Peepworld Complex in The Valley, near the small women's liberal arts college.

The star of this HOT new 8mm loop? The legendary Piper, The Gloryhole Princess! Those of you not familiar with her work really should really schedule a cram session with this smoking hot brunette, who has one of the dirtiest minds I've ever cum across. Each of her adventures pushes the envelope, and in the best ways possible.

In this EXXXCLUSIVE Journal of Adult Theaters 8mm loop (in glorious HD by the way), we find Piper getting ready at her dressing table. What possibly could happen when a stranger appears, swinging some heavy lumber of his own?  And, how properly moisturized is Piper?

Get your tokens ready and let's find out, shall we?

The Wait is Over! The Art Cinema in Hartford Re-Opens Saturday December 19th at 12 Noon!

Doc here, a man who some say once exclaimed "Do you believe in miracles? Yes!"

After 23 months and thousands upon thousands of dollars in infrastructure improvements to the 101 year old theater, the mighty Art Cinema , 255 Franklin Ave. in Hartford IS BACK!

Then Good Doctor could not be any happier for the Art Cinema's owner, Ernie, Project Manager Dave, Ernie's right hand man Tosho, and all the kind people who either donated their time or money (through the Art's GoFundMe) to get the old girl back on her feet.

It has been an arduous project, with many ups and downs along the way.  I have seen pics of the work in progress, from the re-upholstered seats, the new aisleway, refurbished brass railings, the monumental amount of scraping and painting, and re-done ladies lounge to name a few.

100 Year old buildings have 100 year old problems, and the list of needed to be corrected issues was LONG!  Fire and building codes are no trivial matter, and the building needed to be brought up to code.

Oh, and the small matter of COVID-19 didn't make things any easier.  The Good Doctor would have loved to be on site, helping get The Art back on it's feet.  But between a thousand miles and the world catching on fire, I had to be content working behind the scenes for big chunks of the 23 months The Art was closed.

This week all projects were signed off on by the city, and the doors to the mighty Art Cinema will be popped open tomorrow (12/19/20) to welcome back new and old friends alike.  The auditorium looks great, and Ernie and the team cannot wait to welcome you back.

The new hours for The Art Cinema are:
Sunday through Thursday Noon til 9pm.
Friday and Saturday Noon til 10pm.

The Good Doctor will be back to Hartford when travel restrictions are relaxed to re-photograph the Art Cinema in all it's glory, and I can't wait to share those images with you!

The Art Cinema will have a certified set of COVID-19 rules to be followed, and those rules can be found on the homepage of the Art Cinema's official website HERE
  • Masks are mandatory upon entry.
  • Touchless temperature taken upon entry.
  • Guests must read the COVID-19 rules prior to paying at the register.
New to the mighty Art Cinema is the DIAMOND REWARDS Card!  Every time you visit The Art Cinema (paying regular admission), you get your card punched for visits 1 through 4. Visit 5 is FREE!
The Art Cinema is the premier classic adult theater in the United States!  The Couple's Only VIP Balcony is legendary, and this is one of the last true adult theater experiences left anywhere!

I urge you to visit and support the mighty Art Cinema, as it re-opens to provide you an incomparable adult theater experience in this thing of ours

You can also follow The Art Cinema on social media platforms like:

Please get the word out, that the mighty Art Cinema is BACK!

Congrats once again to Ernie, Dave, Tosho, and all the volunteers and donors that made this happen!

Thanks,
Doc

Breaking News! The Wait is Almost Over! The Dramatic Return of The Art Cinema in Hartford!

Doc here, a man who some say is proud to publish this report after almost a 2-year pause in operations for the mighty Art Cinema in Hartford, CT.

After an enormous (and expensive) amount of work on the 101 year old cinema's infrastructure (including a brand new state of the art fire alarm system, refurbishing the cinema's seats, creating new aisles, painting, and much more), and final sign-off by the city of Hartford, the Art Cinema re-opens in the next few days.

The Art Cinema published this video to YouTube earlier today:

The Good Doctor will be publishing and posting the exact opening day and time, and will link to the Art Cinema's website when The Journal confirms when the doors are popped open for the first time since January of 2019.

Congrats to the Art Cinema's owner Ernie, to Project Manager Dave, to Ernie's long-time right hand man Tosho, and thank you to all the kind people who donated time, money, and energy to get the mighty Art back open again!

Please make sure you Follow The Art Cinema on Twitter: @TheArtCinema

More details will follow, Lizardos & Lizardettes!

Thanks,

Doc

Update! Tito's-n-Soda and Milkman2484 Get to the Bottom of the New Ownership of The Westwood Theater in Toledo, OH

Doc here, a man who some say put full-contact croquet on the map in the mid-1980's, with an update to Mr. Glass' report from this morning regarding the future of the Westwood Theater in Toledo, Ohio by first time contributors Tito's-n-Soda and Milkman2484.

The news my friends is not encouraging to card carrying members in this thing of ours.

Firstly, take it away Tito's-n-Soda!

***

My Good Doctor,

I noticed your post on the Twitter-webs that one of my favorite old haunts in the Glass City was purchased and pending a re-birth.  What great news that would be!  But alas, I think the Craigslist rumor mill has dashed some hopes once again.
The Westwood Theater in Happier Times, 2012

A quick search on the Lucas Co. auditors site shows that the good ole Westwood Theater was sold at the end of October 2020.  But the purchaser is one "Overseer of Westwood Cathedral of Word and Worship".

Lucas County Auditors Record for 1602 West Sylvania Ave., Toledo OH

I remember having several heavenly experiences at the Westwood of old in the past.  But I won't get too excited about a Westwood return to glory with the new ownership.

I'll raise a glass in hopes that I'm wrong but until then...

Cheers,
Tito's-n-Soda

***

In a similar vein, Milkman2484 sent along the following as well:

Good Dr. Emilio,

With my limited skills at searching I did happen to find the Lucas County Auditors website, and it does indeed say the property was sold on Oct 27 2020. But from the name of the new listed owner on the site, it may not be good news.  The new listed owner is "Overseer of Westwood Cathedral of Word and Worship".

***

Doc here once again... Many thanks for a great first time field reports (and property record sleuthing) from Tito's-n-Soda and Milkman2484.  Well done gents!

So kids, if one can assume by the namesake of the new owners, the next event at the former Westwood Theater is more likely to be an exorcism than a sexy theme party showing XXX fare in a classic adult theater. I have lost count on the number of post-mortems I have written for The Westwood, but this final chapter seems pretty definite.

As some of you may remember, I did a lot of work with the former owners as the Westwood was being renovated and upgraded back in 2012 and 2013.  I photographed the interior of this great old theater on many occasions, and she was pretty photogenic. I'll miss her.
The Westwood Theater in 2012, Toledo Ohio
Thank you to everyone who jumped on my info request on Twitter and on The Journal, as we tried to get to the bottom of the sale!

We lost two great classic adult theaters this year: The Westwood and The Oregon Theater in Portland. The suckage that 2020 has wrought has been cruel.

Thanks,
Doc

Breaking News! Mr. Glass: Is Something Afoot at the Westwood Theater in Toledo, OH?

Doc here, a man who some say spent the majority of Doctober relishing the taste sensations of 4 new meatball recipes, of which 3 are keepers.

Over the weekend, the Lizardo Model KY Teletype Machine powered up and spit out a quick report from the front lines in Toledo, Ohio from senior Journal scribe Mr. Glass

Lizardo Model KY
The Good Doctor needed to read this quick dispatch twice, as my eyes were possibly deceiving your old friend in the white suit and aviators. Upon the re-read, what I first read was accurate.

Here is the quick note from Mr. Glass:

Hi Doc,

Mr. Glass. Cannot confirm at this time but if I hear anything I will let you know.

https://toledo.craigslist.org/mis/d/toledo-westwood-again/7223135274.html

Via an anonymous post on Craigslist, the post claims that the Westwood Theater in Toledo was sold and will re-open soon. I have not seen any other information confirming this anywhere (including Fetlife).

Westwood Theater,  2012
So Lizardos and Lizardettes, if anyone can confirm the above and provide some details on the new ownership (hopefully), that would be greatly appreciated.

You can contact me at emiliolizardo1@gmail.com , and I will happily get the your findings out.

Thanks,

Doc

Twistingly's Twisted Tales: 20,000 Leagues Under a Lake in Minnesota (w/Pics)

Doc here, a man who some say that from a distance, looks like an Italian lighthouse keeper.

How was your summer, everyone?  I spent most of mine in a beekeepers outfit while grocery shopping.

Someone near and dear to your old friend in the white suit and aviators had a fantastic summer vacation adventure. Sun, water, fishing, and unsubstantiated rumors of pole dancing. Yes, that vacationer was that former fly girl, my good friend the lovely Twistingly.

Let's start off with the theme song for this report...

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip
That started from this Wisconsin port, aboard a tiny ship
The captain was a little brunette, a skipper brave and sure
A solo adventure set sail that day, on a three-hour tour
A three-hour tour

The weather started getting rough, the tiny ship was tossed
If not for the courage of Twistingly, the 'Lil Donger would be lost
The 'Lil Donger would be lost

The ship set ground on the shore of this uncharted mansion's isle
With Twistingly, her curly 'do
The millionaire and his beach
This little nugget, a narwhal suit
Here on Twistingly's Isle

Doc,

Last month, my seven day vacation was spent on a small island in the Great Lake Minnetonka.
Lake Minnetonka
On the last day, returning to civilization, I loaded the boat with my belongings and set sail (motor?). Twenty yards from dock, the engine screamed and seized. With no emergency oars and my calls for assist going unanswered, I floated for more than an hour before finally coming to shore on the private beach of a very nice multi-million dollar home.
The 'Lil Donger
Looking for the front door, I walked barefoot, frizzy haired, and wet around the gigantic home (no security cameras?!?). Eventually, I was given an opportunity to explain to the homeowner how I came to be in his backyard. While understanding (and good looking!), he did not offer assistance, so I trekked the two miles to my car, came back for my belongings, and promised the homeowner someone would collect the tin can I left tied to his tree.

I’d like to think somebody has.

~T~

Doc here again... There is a reason Twistingly's middle name is Danger (not Donger - that's the boat). One part narwhal, one part MacGyver, she turned an unfortunate scenario into a great story for us to enjoy.

Next time Lake Minnetonkans, pick up her distress call. She may toss you a craft beer to thank you.

Make sure to follow Twistingly on Twitter.

Thanks,
Doc

Dispatches From Abroad: A Cross Country Trek and a Visit to CVE in Gastonia, NC from That Quirky Girl in July, 2020! (w/NEW PICS!)

Doc here, a man who some say put the "can" in cannoli tossing, a favorite Italian picnic activity popularized in the ABC After School Special "The Boy with the Mustache in 7th Grade".

One recent night in The Good Doctor's underground lair, nestled inside Lizardo Manor (located deep in The Valley, near the small women's liberal arts college), a scratchy short wave radio transmission was captured and recorded. The following is as close of a transcript that we (Barky Lizardo & myself) could translate:

*begin transmission*

Doc, can you hear me? Doc? Between the barking sled dogs and the sketchy transmission lines, I hope this message penetrates your airspace.

This is That Quirky Girl, checking in from Beaver Creek, buried balls-deep inside The Yukon. While dog sled training continues, I feel the burning need to head back to the Tarheel State for upgraded electronic gear and a rendezvous (and by rendezvous, I mean a non-stop fuck fest) with Agent SSF.

Theaters may be involved. Nudity will be involved. Body fluids most definitely will be involved.

*end transmission*

I recognized the voice, and this was undoubtedly That Quirky Girl. Her unmistakable sexy Carolina accent, combined with the barking of huskies in the background, validated that was indeed this adult theater legend. She was on the move east, and this potentially could be a taste of old times at CVE in Gastonia, NC.

And then it happened...

A Dispatch From Abroad hit my in-box, along with new images of That Quirky Girl.  A report so good that it will tickle your ass and potentially dehydrate you. You've been warned.

Please welcome back to The Journal, my good friend (and part-time tai chi instructor) That Quirky Girl!

***

Hi Doc,

That Quirky Girl here checking in and reporting on a recent visit to my old stomping grounds.

How did this all come about you ask? Well, Dear Lizardos and Lizardettes, grab a seat and your reading glasses and I’ll explain.

After making multiple trips to Beaver Creek for use of their reliable and sufficient  WiFi (and to stock up on some Alaskan Amber beer). I decided that I had seen one too many bears at the local bar....and not the Grizzly or Polar variety. The time had come for me to make a trek to purchase a lightweight satellite terminal.... oh and the good NC beer!

As I was planning this trip I realized I was in much need to something besides  WiFi and good beer. I was due for a different kind of marathon than the one I’ve been training.... and there is only one person who can fill that request.... did you guess it... that would be none other than SSF (that stands for Super Secret Friend for those who are new to my reports). A quick call on the Sat phone and it was all arranged.
